A Quick Post: Ponyfinder

TommyAcheI have been down with a virus for the past week. My 4th of July was spent laying on the couch, reading, sipping water, watching my oldest play Minecraft (who has definitely inherited her father’s sadistic gaming tendencies), and sketching in an old journal.

It hasn’t been a fun experience, but I have had fun hanging out with my girls during moments of consciousness and clarity. Watching various shows, including My Little Pony -which I confess, I’m a brony.

phoenixwolfHanging out with them it struck me, I need to get Ponyfinder (a campaign setting for Pathfinder)! It would be such an awesome way to introduce my two oldest girls to the wonderful world of role playing games. The younger of the two would be enamored by the player character (PC) pony options, and my oldest…well she would undoubtedly want to play a phoenix wolf (seriously, she going to end up being a Furry when she gets older).

The setting presents the potential for endless adventures that can grow in complexity as my girls grow in age and maturity. The game could easily lend itself to teaching important life lessons and serve as medium for family bonding. A much better alternative to just sitting in front of the television.

I’d love to go on, but my sense of clarity is fading fast. Hopefully I will be back to my healthy self soon, writing stories and rambling at great length.

About St Basil Z Fish

Curator of the strange and incredibly awkward. A rambling writer with the misguided notion he has something to say. His only redeeming qualities are his wife and children.
