Writing Station

60DollarPCI work for a living to support my family. I live, like so many, on a tight budget. Months ago my laptop went up in a literal puff of smoke. As a result I have been writing from my phone and tablet – far from an ideal situation.

A couple weeks ago I decided I needed to find a low cost desktop PC. I had a mouse, a monitor, and a keyboard (which I did have to replace later). Looking online and in various stores, I couldn’t find anything in my budget.

After hitting several dead ends I took my search to Ebay which I knew would be a risk. I found a seller who was semi-retired out of Florida with a background in computer repair. He was offering a refurbished Windows Vista machine for only $33.oo. This was well in my budget.

Several inquiries later, I took the risk and purchased the machine. The desktop was delivered on Monday. After some updates, downloading a new browser, and replacing the keyboard, I am now happily typing away on a computer that cost me a total of $60.

Now I have a place to work on my writing and make extensive notes with relative ease. Hopefully, this writing station will double as an education station as I enroll into college courses.

About Z.

Poetic pipe and cigar enthusiast rifling through the haunted memories of a not so distant past while openly wrestling with faith and God. A rambling writer with the misguided notion that he has something to say. His only redeeming qualities are his wife and children.
